Hi sSs! Welcome.. I'm Rachel, president co-fashionista. Everyone round here is into horror or sci fi so you have two fashion editors hanging around trying to make things bright and shiny!

Best advice I can give is to keep reading and writing. You will get better. And in a couple of years when you look back at something you wrote, you'll be surprised that it was you who actually wrote it. Believe me, I've been there.

I agree with Paul, you can't be a good writer without being an avid reader. And about looking back at past work, it can be shocking at the difference

I've only really came into as a writer this year. I'll be the first to say that my stuff has actually gotten quite good of late. I was re-reading an old novel from when I was 14, and it's badness made me want to cry! ;D

I was re-reading an old novel from when I was 14, and it's badness made me want to cry! ;D I was totally the same, when it came to re-reading my poetry collection for my GCSE English; which was only done a last year. I felt like hiding in a dark corner so anyone who had read it could not find me. It's quite the embarrassment...

Wow... that's drastic! I'm sure it's not that bad though. Then again, if you're in the same boat as the rest of us, comparatively it might be!

I found a story I'd written when I was 11 and I was actually surprised at how good it was (for an eleven year old) then by 14 it had fallen apart horrifically and was totally and utterly bin-worthy. Still though, you gotta realise your flaws to improve.

I was looking at the novel i wrote when i was 15, it was my first attempt at writing, and i thought it was good at the time, but now i can't even get past the first page without cringing. I have no idea how i wrote 110,000 words. Its so bad i want to burn it
