Hi! I'd like to introduce myself, Lily Ruth Publishing (www.lilyruthpublishing), and the company's first book, My Weird Family Series: My Vampire cousin. Please come visit me on the website and let me know what you think!

Hmm, don't take this the wrong way, but you're first comment to us is a but like... spam. And I'm not overly impressed by what I've seen either.
From now on if you want to reach your market, advertisements help instead of spamming our message boards.

I dont know if I would have put it quite like that, but you're obviously publishing your own book, so why didnt you just come on and say that?
We would have been more than happy to help you plug it.

Hmm, if you were referring to the way I reacted, I think I was brainwashed by the WritersNet site when I went to find more info on Lily Ruth Publishing. They kicked her out the proverbial door.

No, by all means your reaction was fine. I agree.
Just saying if she came on and said "hi, I'm publishing my book and if its ok with you guys could i put it on the published authors area." I would be inclined to say sure knock yourself out, BUT could you put a bit in the advice section as to how you went about it.

It's spam. AH well. Spose she's gotta find a market if she's self-publishing, and a website for writers makes sense!
